I bring a wealth of knowledge, legal acumen and a creative bent to solving difficult disputes and lawsuits, but the real answer to "Why Me?" is my passion and authenticity.
In addition to more than 30 years of wide ranging litigation practice, I have over 20 years experience as a mediator, co-founded the North Carolina Civil Collaborative Law Association, and have provided continuing education to professionals in negotiations, mediations, collaborative law and other areas and am a Diplomate Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.

My mediation experience includes multi-party, high-exposure and emotionally challenging construction, personal injury, and wrongful death cases in addition to business, real estate, insurance and trust and estate matters and more.
I have served as Lead Counsel for trials in North Carolina, Maryland and Federal Courts and appellate work in the NC Court of Appeals, NC Supreme Court and the US Supreme Court
